Dr. Corteguera was born in Cuba and moved to Miami at a young age, where his love for animals and science began to flourish. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and went on to receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. Matthew’s University in 2025. Dr. Corteguera completed his clinical training at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he developed strong interests in soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. In addition to his veterinary training, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University in 2024, equipping him with valuable skills in leadership and clinic management. He is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Corteguera enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending quality time with friends. His diverse background and balanced lifestyle bring warmth and perspective to his work.
